Gravel pit special exception goes back to Packwaukee Planning Committee

Over 60 citizens attended the Town of Packwaukee Special Meeting held on Monday, November 8 at the town hall.  The meeting was a discussion and vote on the special exception permit and re-zone application for a proposed sand and gravel pit and potential asphalt plant off County Road D in the Township of Packwaukee.

Westfield Chamber to host Halloween Walk October 23rd

The popular Westfield Chamber of Commerce Halloween Walk through the trails at Pioneer Memorial Park returns on Saturday, October 23rd.

Annual Haunted Hayride returns to Montello October 15-16

The Montello Lions Club is returning the Halloween spirit to the spooky forest west of town on Highway 23 when it hosts its Haunted Hayride this weekend, Friday, October 15th and Saturday, October 16th.  Hayrides begin at dusk and go until 9 p.m. both nights.

U.S. District Court rules teen’s First Amendment rights were violated

U.S. District Court Judge Brett Ludwig issued a decision last week on September 24th declaring that Marquette County Sheriff Joseph Konrath’s threat to arrest a teenage girl over a social media post in March 2020 violated the teen’s First Amendment rights.
