Fundraiser at Lake Arrowhead Campground raises over $1100 for Marquette County EMS

It was a boot-scootin’ good time at Lake Arrowhead Campground’s Country Western Corn Boil in August, and over the course of a Saturday, their campers raised over $1100 for Marquette County EMS!

They boiled over 1200 ears of corn, all of which was graciously donated by Seneca Foods to assist them in their fundraising goals. Following an afternoon full of old-fashioned games and a giant slip-n-slide, they set up an old time-y jail and folks could swear out a warrant for our “sheriff” to arrest their friends using the “squad cart” (AKA golf cart). The offenders then had to stand before our judge, who set bail. They served their time in our jail, panhandling passersby until they raised enough bail to be released. Owner Adam Malsack was even arrested, spending 30 minutes in jail until our generous campers donated $100 to set him free.

The campground offered a huge thank you to Seneca Foods and the Lake Arrowhead Campground staff and campers who made this successful fundraising event possible.
