Harrisville gets ready for 61st annual Bratfest

Get ready for the 61st annual Harrisville Bratfest on Sunday, September 4th. This annual event benefits the Harris Fire Department and takes the efforts of everyone in the Town of Harris to be the success it always is.

This giant, one-day event not only features tons of Wisconsin’s favorite sausage, but also tons of fun for all ages. You’ll have your pick of live music, truck and tractor pulls, softball, volleyball, corn hole and more to watch or take part in all day long.

Brat Fest is spread from the Fire Station to the park, tractor pull track, and the Sportsman’s Club. The Fire Station is where you’ll find their famous brat dinners, served from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. During that time, enjoy live music by Southbound from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., or stick around for Around Town, playing from 3:00-6:00 p.m.

At the park, there will be men’s softball games all day, along with a volleyball tournament and corn hole tournament. For more information on softball, please contact Tim Greiner at 608-697-7738; for volleyball, call John Kutzler at 608-296-3804. You can register for the corn hole tournament at the park at 11 a.m. on Sunday or call Fay Lloyd at 608-333-4583 for more information.

You can also enjoy entertainment by the Prairie Cloggers from 1:00-2:00 p.m. and music by the Vitamin R Band from 2:00-6:00 p.m., both at the park.

Kids get their own competitive event too! They can enjoy a Pedal Pull just for them at the park. Registration is at 10:30 a.m., followed by the pull at 11:00.

The beer and food stand in the park will be open from 10:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Pulling competition goes on at the track all day and the entrance fee is just $15 per adult for the whole day; kids 12 & under are free. First, there’s the antique truck & tractor pull, beginning at 11:00 a.m., with registration from 9:00 to 10:30. There’s several weight classes for tractors, along with classes of trucks including various weights of stock & open diesel, plus farm classes.

Then, the day finishes up with The BIG SMOKE Tractor and Truck Pull, starting at 6:30 p.m. Registration is from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. for that event.

The Sportsman’s Club & Community Center is the scene for more brat goodness, including dinners and sandwiches, throughout the day, as well as Country Western music by Star Fire Band from 1:00-5:00 p.m.
