Hit the Montello Holiday Trail on November 20th

Montello Business and local non-profits are excited to announce that the full Montello Holiday Trail is back this year and set for Saturday, November 20th.   The trail unites local businesses and nonprofit organizations in promoting their events planned for this day.  Maps will provide the listing of all 14 locations on the trail along with details of the products and services each offers.  Be sure to have your map stamped at each location.   When you have received a stamp from eight of the 14 locations, submit your map for a drawing for one of the beautiful door prizes.  If you visit all 14 locations, you can submit your map for the grand prize drawing in addition to the other door prizes.

These businesses and organizations are participating in the holiday trail:

Montello Seniors at the Senior Dome:  Craft vendors, resale items, bake sale and food items available. 140 Lake Ct., behind the fire station.

Sage Hen Serendipity:  featuring handmade artisan items. 49 W. Montello St., downtown.

MD Metal Arts:  here you’ll find an array of metal cuts and even a gift for that hard to buy person on your Christmas list. 43 W. Montello St., downtown.

The Rusty Star:  Stop in to take advantage of sales and discounts throughout the store. 31 W. Montello St., downtown.

The Silver-Smith’s Jewelry Store:  Check out the Mom’s Ring sale and other special values and sales. 30 W. Montello St., downtown.

Montello Candy Store:  This is a new location on the trail;  Stop in to see the large selection of cards, gifts and ice cream! 28 W. Montello St., downtown. 28 W. Montello St., downtown.

Becca’s Variety Shop / Misfit Salvage: Two stores under one roof.  Here there’s something for everyone including yummy treats! 1 Main St., downtown.

Kathleen’s Flour Bin:  Another new location on the trail featuring.  Check out their bakery and market. 33 Main St., downtown.

Teapot Quilt Cottage and Garden Center:   The Garden Center will be all decked out for the holidays with lots of wreaths and holiday decorations, quilt items, jams and other holiday gifts. 505 Main St.

Reader’s Realm Books, Gifts and Whimsy:  Check out all of the books Kathleen has available, plus 25% off all Lang Products. 147 E. Montello St.

St. John the Baptist Catholic Church:  The ladies of the parish will host many art and craft vendors, along with craft items from the parishioners, a huge bake sale, raffles, the Christmas Treasures Revisited room, and food items. 277 E. Montello St.

St. John’s Lutheran School:  Scholastic Book Fair and Thai Village Craft Fair. Plus the Montello FFA will feature their annual fruit/meat sale. 313 E. Montello St.

Montello American Legion:  Shop craft vendors, resale items and raffles. W3008 State Hwy. 23, east end of Montello.

Trinity United Methodist Church: Where you’ll find crafts, bakery plus a delicious lunch featuring homemade soup, sandwiches and desserts. W3032 Fern Dr., behind Crawford Funeral Home off East Park St.

The beautiful selection of door prizes is on display in the window at Silver-Smith’s Jewelry in downtown Montello.  Be sure to stop by and check out the items you could win when you submit your map.

Maps for the Holiday Trail are now available at any of the participating locations.  Pick up your map in advance and plan your route, however your map can only be stamped on November 20th.  On that day, watch for the special Holiday Trail Christmas Trees and signs that will mark each location and then enjoy a day of fun shopping in Montello!
