Westfield will be full of activities & celebrations the weekend of June 11-12!

June 11-12 is the weekend to celebrate everything “dairy” in Marquette County – and more!

Dairylicious Day 2022 returns to Westfield on Saturday, June 11th, for a day of fun including a parade, live music by Cherry Pie, and lots more!

The Westfield Chamber of Commerce, which sponsors this event, will be selling food and drinks in the evening, featuring a variety of delicious sandwiches, along with your favorite bever- ages. Watch for the raffle, plus games for all ages, including a dunk tank!

The parade will be downtown starting at 5:30 p.m. (Line-up starting at 5p.m. by the old high school) Contact Val Virch at Virch’s True Value (608-296-2444) if you’d like to enter. This year’s theme for the parade is ‘Down on the Farm’!

There will be a Kiddie Tractor Pull at 6:00 pm, along with a bounce house and Barnyard Games, set up between the What- Not Shop and Bentley’s Pharmacy from 6-9 p.m.

The band “Cherry Pie” will be performing between BMO Bank and Robinson Realty from 7p.m.-11p.m.

At 9 a.m. Saturday, you can enter the 16th annual Dairyli- cious Day Run/Walk, sponsored by the Westfield Cross Coun- try Team, which takes place at Pioneer Memorial Park, 316 E. Pioneer Park Rd. Registration begins at 8 a.m. There will be a 5-mile run, 2-mile run, 2-mile fun walk and a kid’s 1/4-mile run. Medals and trophies will be awarded, and t-shirts are avail- able to registrants.

There’s also treats and prizes for all youth, along with draw- ings for various dairy prizes!

From 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, the Marquette County Histori- cal Society is hosting their 41st Annual Strawberry Sociable at their museum located at 125 Lawrence Street, on the banks of the millpond. Enjoy delicious homemade shortcake with ice cream and strawberries. The cost is $5 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Museum buildings and grounds will be open for tours at no cost. Come and enjoy an old-fashioned re- laxing afternoon with MCHS!

Topping off the weekend will be a June Dairy Month Breakfast on Sunday, June 12th, sponsored by the Marquette County Farm Bureau. Breakfast of pancakes, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes and more delicious treats will be served from 7am until 12 noon at the Marquette County Fairgrounds, 757 Main St., Westfield. Tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for ages 4-8, and free to kids 3 & under. There will also be fun activities for the entire family, including a petting zoo, games, music and much more.
