GoFundMe campaign seeks donations to help homeowner
Arnie Schehr lost his home and belongings in a fire Tuesday. He and his dog were saved thanks to a neighbor name Mike Carlton who alerted Schehr of the blaze.
"He stopped and pounded on the door, waking him," Lindsay Schehr wrote on the GoFundMe fundraiser they started for their father. "To think what could have happened is terrifying. To Mike- we cannot thank you enough. My dad and his dog both made it out safely. He did not even have time to put shoes on. This morning the house is leveled, and nothing remains."
The fundraiser was created today and has already surpassed the $1500 goal.
