Home ›Montello Theater to feature Open House this Saturday
Montello Theater in downtown Montello has an exciting day planned for this Saturday, April 8th. They are having an Open House from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. preceding the new Super Mario Brothers movie showing.
They’re excited to offer a unique experience for all ages, including history tours, popcorn sales, and best of all, play the original Super Mario Brothers 1 on an original Nintendo Entertainment System for free ON THEIR BIG SCREEN!
Before they show the new Super Mario Brothers movie (7:00 pm), they're hosting a free gaming contest on Saturday from 4pm to 6pm. The contest will be playing the original Mario brothers on NES, and whoever wins our speed contest will win a basket full of prizes! Free to play.
While that's going on, we'll be hosting a history tour at 4pm, 4:45pm and 5:15pm which will include a small bag of popcorn, our 90-page history book “The History of Montello Theater” that they wrote and published, and a 30+ min tour of this beautiful historic theater going behind the scenes showing you everything about this magical building. Normally their history tours include a short silent movie - but not for this event since Mario will be on the screen. History tours are $20, first come first serve. This is a great price as the history books alone run $20…. ALL proceeds support our historic building!
So come on down to the Montello Movie Theater and join us for an exciting event on Saturday from 4pm to 6pm. No tickets required, just show up and enjoy the fun. Concessions will be available too.
