Coming up Saturday, June 10th to celebrate the 350th anniversary of the voyage of Father Marquette and Louis Jolliet is an event featuring Marquette and Jolliet re-enactors, as well as Iron Bear Singers and Dancers. It will be held at Rendezvous Paddle and Sports in Montello. The re-enactors will be doing three Fun with History presentations and the Iron Bear performers will be doing three performances featuring Indian drumming, singing and dancing.
The day begins at 9:00 and goes to 4:00. There will be over 20 crafter/vendor booths, as well as a big raffle inside Rendezvous that will raise money for the elevator in the Montello Historic Preservation Society’s Vaughn Hall museum. There will also be free face painting in the afternoon and other kid’s activities.
