The Montello High School Class of 2023 will take part in their graduation ceremony this Saturday, May 27th, beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the high school varsity gym.

The class is led by Valedictorian Addisyn Urbaniak and Salutatorian Josey Gilbertson.

The first in a series of speakers and events celebrating the 350th anniversary of the voyage of Father Jacques Marquette and Louis Jolliet will be on Sunday, May 21, at 1 PM at the Marquette County Historical Society in Westfield.

The Montello Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that the Fish-N-Fun Festival is set to return on Friday, May 5th through Sunday, May 7th. Food trucks, refreshments and live music will take over West Street downtown, while the carnival and other attractions will be located at City Park.

 MADISON — On Monday, May 1st, Gov. Tony Evers announced his appointment of Clifford Burdon to serve as Marquette County District Attorney. The appointment fills a vacancy created by former District Attorney Brian J. Juech’s resignation. Burdon will serve for the remainder of the unexpired term that ends January 2025.

There was a great deal of excitement around Westfield School District when the winners of the 2023 Herb Kohl Winners were announced.  On the day the winners were announced it was revealed that one staff member had won the Herb Kohl Teacher Fellowship Award and one other had won the Herb Kohl Principal Leadership Award.

The Village of Westfield will be reconstructing North Main Street. This work is expected to begin the week of April 24, 2023, although that may change, and continue through September 2023.
