Jeanna’s American Legion Bar in Montello held a big fundraiser on January 1st for Budda-Box Fight Against Cancer, and with the help of generous customers, raised a total of $3,120 for the organization that helps cancer patients in Marquette County.
Jayce Ellsworth-Messa and Dominick Ziolek, both age 17 of Montello, were arrested after the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the Town of Shields, for a report of a home invasion on Tuesday evening, January 3rd.
On January 3rd, 2023, at approximately 8:09 p.m., the Endeavor/Moundville Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a structure fire on County Road CX near Glen Ave. in the Town of Moundville. First arriving responders encountered heavy fire and smoke coming from a two-story farmhouse.

While assisting a motorist on Friday night, December 16th, a Marquette County Sheriff’s Office squad car was struck on I39 by a passing vehicle. The deputy was inside the squad car with emergency lights activated when the crash occurred. The deputy suffered minor injuries from the impact.
